Career Profile

Dr Odiegwu-Enwerem is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, National Open University of Nigeria, (NOUN). He obtained his bachelor’s degree in mass communication from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, his master’s degree from University of Lagos and a doctorate from Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria. He has published over 30 research articles including book chapters in local and international journals as well as Conference Proceedings. He has attended over 10 local and international conferences and received about four institutional research grants. Dr Enwerem has supervised over 30 undergraduate and postgraduate students (with many still on-going). With multiple research interests, Dr Enwerem’s recent works and publications include Legislators’ Media Consumption Habits: Implications for Legislation among Legislators in Southwestern Nigeria; The conflict between the Nigerian State and Non-State actors in the Southeast Nigeria: A search for a possible solution, among others. Besides academic and research interests, Dr Enwerem is also a renowned media and communication consultant with a record of past and present services to some topnotch brands in telecommunication, banking and education sectors in Nigeria. He is a member of African Council for Communication Education ACCE (Nigerian Chapter), Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN), University of Nigeria, Jacksonites Worldwide Alumni Association (UNN Alumni). He is a Board Member and Reviewer/Assessor, International Business Information and Management Association (IBIMA)
