Ajayi Omoniyi Samson hails from Akure, the capital city of Ondo State, Nigeria, born and brought up in a Christen Home.

His primary and secondary school education was completed in Ondo State; he is a holder of a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) in Pure and Applied Psychology from Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), specializing in peace building and conflict transformation.

Having taken a brief stint serving as an educator (Assistant teacher) at Shehu Idris College of Health Science and Technology, Kaduna, during his National Youth service cops (NYSC) service. Ajayi began his professional journey as an Administrative Officer at NOUN’s School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS), before he was transferred to NOUN Information Call Centre (NICC).

He later transitioned to academic cadre of the institution as an educator. Currently, Ajayi is a lecturer at NOUN in the Department of Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, where he combines academic expertise with practical experience to advance the field of peacebuilding and mentor future change-makers. His passion for fostering understanding and resolving conflicts is evident in his commitment to teaching and research.
