Career Profile
My career journey began at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), where I served as Editor II in the Course Material Development Unit. In this role, I was responsible for refining academic content to ensure quality and accessibility for distance learners. Through dedication and a strong work ethic, I rose to the position of Senior Editor, where I oversaw the development and publication of course materials across various disciplines, further honing my skills in academic writing, editing, and project coordination.
Seeking to expand my professional horizon, I transitioned into academia as a researcher and lecturer in the Department of Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. This move allowed me to merge my editorial expertise with my passion for fostering peace and resolving conflicts through teaching and research. In this capacity, I have been actively involved in conducting research, publishing scholarly works, and mentoring students on critical issues such as conflict management, peacebuilding, and societal resilience in fragile contexts.
Currently, I serve as the Examination Officer for the department, a role that demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining academic integrity. My journey reflects a seamless blend of academic rigor and administrative excellence, underscoring my dedication to contributing meaningfully to the fields of education and peace studies.
