Dr. Jacob Eneji Ashibi is a distinguished criminologist specializing in Cybercrime, Forensic Criminology, Victimology, and Penology. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology (Criminology) from the University of Calabar, Nigeria (2018), along with a Master’s (2015) and Bachelor’s (2006) in Sociology.
Dr. Ashibi has also held academic and administrative positions at Arthur Jarvis University and the National Open University of Nigeria. His teaching expertise spans Criminology, Sociology, Cybercrimes, and Security Studies.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Ashibi has published extensively on topics such as recidivism, forensic technology, cybercrime, and law enforcement, mentoring numerous postgraduate students. His articles appear in reputable journals, including the KIU Interdisciplinary Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Previously, he was Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) at Arthur Jarvis University, among other leadership roles. Dr. Ashibi’s achievements include being the Best Graduating Ph.D. Candidate in Criminology at the University of Calabar and receiving awards in artificial intelligence and project management. He is affiliated with the Nigerian Society for Criminology, NASA, and NAAIP. Through teaching, research, and leadership, Dr. Ashibi continues to shape criminology, focusing on crime prevention and forensics.
