Career Profile

“I got three degrees: BA, MA in Mass Communication and MSc in Public Relations between 1982 and 2001 from University of Nigeria, Nssuka. This was capped with a PhD in Mass Communication (specialising in advertising and public relations), from Benue State University, Makurdi in 2010.
I joined the Department of Mass Communication, Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu in 1989. In 1999, he pioneered the headship of the Department of Mass Communication, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki before leaving for Lagos to head the Department of Mass Communication, National Open University of Nigeria in 2011. However, in between (2001 and 2011), I was the General Manager of Ebonyi State Newspapers and Publishing Corporation, Abakaliki.
I belong to several professional bodies, among them: African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
I have to my credit numerous publications in both foreign and local journals and book chapters.”
