Dr. Nathan Oguche Emmanuel, a seasoned communication professional and university researcher with over fifteen years of experience, holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication (Journalism and Media Studies) from the University of Nigeria, Masters and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Mass Communication both from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. His impactful career spans journalism, media practice, strategic communication, and knowledge management. His research contributions, including peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, reflect his expertise in journalism, media studies, and disruptive technologies. He has appeared as a guest expert on programmes of local and international television stations such as the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Media Monitor of the SABC Africa. In 2022, he won the Conversation Africa Science Communication Award for “for being the University of Nigeria author whose article garnered the most reads between 1 November 2021 and 31 October 2022.” Beyond academia, Dr. Nathan has shared his knowledge and insights with the younger generation as a resource person for the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), which trained over 100 youths on safe and quality education for every child in Jalingo, Taraba State in June 2019. He was at different times a resource person to Fairview Consult, facilitating high-profiled trainings for staff members of the Supreme Court, Industrial Training Fund (ITF), and Centre for Management Development (CMD). He has also facilitated trainings on corporate social media optimization for staff members of the Ministry of Defence, Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KSIRS), Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Abuja.
